Allegheny County Customs is an independent mechanical and auto body shop on Rodi Road in Penn Hills, on Pittsburgh’s east side.
The shop
Two garages, one lot, a lot of cars.
Pull onto the lot at 650 Rodi Road and you’ll see two white garage buildings with red trim, a flag out front and the official inspection keystone on the wall. Inside, one side of the business is everyday mechanical work and Pennsylvania inspections. The other is collision repair, rust repair and paint.
The “Customs” part shows up in the restorations: a classic Ford pickup taken down to bare steel and finished in gloss black, an Oldsmobile convertible brought back to deep red, a square-body Chevy laid down in two-tone. Those builds share the bays with deer hits, rotted rockers and daily drivers that just need to pass inspection.

What to expect
How a visit works.
- Call or stop in. (412) 242-6252, Mon–Fri 8–5 or Saturday morning. Tell us what it’s doing or what got hit.
- We look at it. On the lift or in the bay, so the estimate is based on the actual car.
- Insurance, if there’s a claim. Bring your claim info. Our sign out front says all insurances accepted.
- Pick it up. Mechanical, body and paint happen in the same building, so nothing gets shuttled between shops.
